Playkot’s fantasy squad-based RPG continues to expand with new progression features, live-service updates, and fresh content for players on iOS and Android.
Playkot announced that Age of Magic, its long-running fantasy squad-based RPG, has surpassed $120 million in revenue and reached almost 20 million installs worldwide.
First launched on September 19th, 2018, Age of Magic has become one of Playkot’s key live-service titles, bringing players into a dark fantasy world of powerful heroes, ancient ruins, magical artifacts, and rival factions fighting for control over a shattered realm.
Earlier this spring, the Age of Magic team marked the game’s birthday with special in-game activities for players and new mini-games, adding more variety to the core experience and giving the community new ways to engage with the world of Age of Magic.

In late June, the Age of Magic team launched a major new phase of progression for players with the release of an expanded hero development system that will continue to grow over the coming months. The update goes beyond adding a new progression layer: it also unlocks a broader expansion of game content, including long-awaited additions for popular game modes, new goals for experienced players and ways to strengthen and customize their squads.
Unlike traditional fantasy RPGs built around a single protagonist, Age of Magic presents its universe through a constantly expanding roster of heroes, events, factions, and live-service storylines. Over the years, the game world has evolved through new characters, seasonal content, special events, and ongoing narrative additions. At its heart, Age of Magic is a story about a world rebuilding after catastrophe, where magic remains both the greatest source of hope and the greatest threat to the future.
Age of Magic is available now on iOS, Android, AppGallery, Galaxy Store and GetApps.
