EA Originals, which hosts and publishes EA’s mid-range projects like It Takes Two, A Way Out, and Unravel, announced that it has partnered with Koei Tecmo and the Omega Force studio behind the Dynasty Warriors series.

The new project, whose name is unknown, will be a fantasy game set in Feudal Japan. The game is described as the “Next Great Hunting Game,” but it doesn’t seem close to the supposed regular hunting games (probably it will be Monster Hunter-like).
Yosuke Hayashi, Executive Vice President of Koei Tecmo, said “The EA team fully embraces our creative independence and have become invaluable partners offering both development and publishing support,” and added:
“Adding the global resources of EA with our own will help us introduce a new kind of hunting game to a global audience of players and expand our reach into global markets. I’m really looking forward to the day that gamers from around the world can play this new game.”

It is a big problem that many games developed in Far Eastern countries cannot reach the European and American markets, but EA’s resources are quite available to realize this. Jeff Gamon, General Manager of EA Partners, shared the following views on working with the Omega Force team:
“Building on the incredible success of EA Originals, which includes the recent releases of It Takes Two and Knockout City™, we’re thrilled to be partnering with the amazingly talented Omega Force team,”
“They’ve elevated the hunting genre to the next level, merging their proven talent for combat gameplay with unexpected and innovative mechanics. We can’t wait to introduce their groundbreaking new adventure to the world later this month.”
In line with the information received, it is expected that there will be more detailed news about the game this month.
