Four mobile games will be shut down with Square Enix Montreal

The Canadian-based studio also stated that there would be no refunds for in-game purchases.

Studio Onoma, previously known as Square Enix Montreal, is closing its doors on January 2023 along with its four mobile games; Arena Battle Champions, Deus Ex Go, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, and Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes.

Studio Onama shared the news on its official Twitter account saying “The games will be removed from the App Store/Google Play Store on December 1st, and current players will not be able to access the games past January 4th.”

The Canadian-based studio also stated that there would be no refunds for in-game purchases.

Embracer completed the acquisition of Square Enix Montreal in late August. After the acquisition, the studio was rebranded as Studio Onoma.
