The social community platform for video games, gamers, and content creators Game Jolt is hosting a World Cup-themed game jam that will start on October 14 and end on October 23.
Game Jolt, of course, refers to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which will take place by the end of this year. Partners behind the game jam are AWS for Games, Invest Qatar, Quest.tv, and Plug and Play and there’s a prize pool of $20,000 waiting for the contributors.
On top of the cash prizes, three winning games of the World Cup Jam will be given a chance to pitch their titles to the largest publishers and investors worldwide. Winners of the game jam will also get their games featured on the homepage carousel of Twitch, the biggest video game live streaming platform.
AWS for Games also offers up to $100 in AWS Promotional Credits to every participant of the World Cup Jam. Make sure to reach out to [email protected] with World Cup Jam in the subject line to get your credits.
The game jam will also have Invest Qatar, Riot Forge, Plug and Play, and YallaPlay as publishers and investors the participants can connect with.
How to participate in World Cup Jam
To be a part of this exciting game jam, all you need to do is create a Game Jolt account, if you have one you can skip this step, obviously. Then you’ll need to create a game page from Game Jolt’s store and when the jam begins you’ll need to submit your game in the Submit Game channel. You can also find like-minded teammates on the platform.
