The new European crowd-investing platform Gamevestor, dedicated exclusively to video games, allows players to invest directly in PC and console game projects and receive a share of future revenues if the game succeeds.
Gamevestor introduces a regulated and accessible investment model that bridges the gap between studios seeking financing and passionate players who want to support the games they believe in.
Founded by industry veterans Ivan Marchand (EA, Google) and Arthur Van Clap (Ubisoft, Sega), Gamevestor is backed by leading investors from both the creative and financial sectors.
A New Way for Players to Get Involved in the Games They Believe In
Gamevestor introduces a more meaningful relationship between studios and players, enabling players to invest directly in game projects and receive a share of their revenue.
By investing, users subscribe to a financial instrument granting them the right to a share of the revenues generated by the game, in accordance with predefined terms.
For the first projects, the financial scenarios presented on the platform indicate potential returns ranging between 1.5x and 2x the amount invested, depending on the game’s commercial performance. These projections are indicative only and are based on assumptions detailed within each campaign.
This gives players the opportunity to fund the video game projects they believe in, follow them from an early stage, and see how their contribution helps bring the game to life, with the goal of earning a financial return when the game reaches the market. Each project is vetted by a committee of senior gaming experts, ensuring realistic planning, credible teams, and achievable milestones.
This approach transforms players from passive supporters into active co-investors, helping shape the future of independent game creation.
Discover and Support the First Titles Available at Launch
At launch, Gamevestor is offering a curated selection of 3 PC and console projects from European indie studios. These titles were chosen for their clear creative vision, commercial potential, and the teams’ proven ability to deliver.
Investment goals range from €120,000 to €1,800,000 (but could go up to €5M), with investments starting at €100 for players. However, the total number of investment tickets available for each project is strictly limited, and once the funding cap is reached, the investment opportunity is no longer accessible.
By investing, players are not just cheering from the sidelines; they’re helping a game grow until release. This is a chance for them to spot the next indie sensation and back it before it becomes a global hit.
All projects are available to explore on the Gamevestor platform:
- Void Reaver, a Roguelite Survivor developed by Banana Blitz Studio, based in Paris, France.
- Black One Blood Brothers, an action / simulation tactical FPS game developed by Helios Studio from Nantes (France), already available in Early Access on Steam.
- IMMORTAL: And the Death that Follows, a Hack&Slash RPG from Estonia developed by Mishura Games.
Gamevestor: a Regulated Way to Invest for Gamers
Every investment carries risks, and Gamevestor takes this seriously. That’s why they’ve built a robust framework to protect investors as much as possible:
- Expert-vetted projects: Each game is reviewed by a committee of gaming and financial experts based on commercial potential, studio credibility, and funding needs.
- Milestone-based funding: Funds are released in stages as the project hits its development goals. Partial refunds are possible if targets aren’t met.
- Full transparency: Every campaign includes clear information about objectives, risks, and financial structure.
- Regulated and straightforward: Gamevestor is approved by the EU regulators, works with specialized partners and does not involve crypto or Web3.
With Gamevestor, players can invest with confidence while understanding the risks and rewards of supporting the games they love.
Reinventing Community-Backed Game Funding for Today
Gamevestor draws inspiration from the fact that crowdfunding reached record levels in 2024, while going a step further by giving players unprecedented access to the value and potential profits generated by the video game industry in Europe – all within Today’s regulatory framework and the realities of the modern games market.
The goal is simple: allow players to directly support the games they want to see made and share in their success, while helping studios secure funding earlier, faster, and more transparently through their own community – so more creative projects can move from concept to release.
