In Immortals of Aveum, players take on the role of Jak, an unforeseen individual who develops innate magical abilities later in life. Thrust into a raging war, and Jak receives guidance from General Kirkan and the Immortals, an elite order of battlemages.

To overcome the formidable warlord Sandrakk and his enigmatic lieutenant, The Hand, Jak must master the three colors of magic – blue, green, and red – by wielding the ancient artifact known as the Sigil. Amidst the ongoing Everwar conflict, Jak and the Immortals must unveil Aveum’s troubled history to change the course of the battle.

The release date for the game is closing; in the meantime, a trailer for the game was released. The trailer highlights the innovative single-player, first-person magic shooter, accompanied by the music of emerging rapper and musician Jufu. The trailer, complemented by Jufu’s latest track, “All Time Great,” offers a sneak peek into the immersive universe of Immortals of Aveum, set to release on August 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Jufu, a rising rap sensation based in Brooklyn, has rapidly gained popularity with 3.1 million TikTok followers. Jufu expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with EA and Ascendant Studios, stating that “All Time Great” echoes Jak’s narrative of mastering and controlling his powers, making it a perfect match for the game.

The launch trailer blends Jufu’s dynamic song with captivating gameplay scenes featuring Jak and his fellow Immortals from Lucium’s elite magic-wielding order. The fast-paced combat sequences, visually striking environments, and impressive graphics are accompanied by an infectious rhythm that is expected to energize players and prepare them for their epic journey to save the realm.

Bret Robbins, CEO and Game Director at Ascendant Studios, said:

“At its core, Immortals of Aveum is about a hero’s journey as Jak grows into and learns to utilize his unique abilities. Jufu’s on a similar journey, and his music really resonated with us as an expression of Jak’s personality and swagger. Additionally, with our soundtrack featuring several different genres of music from hip-hop, orchestral, electronic, chill, ambient, and industrial, partnering with Jufu to bring his unique sound to the launch trailer was a no-brainer. We’re thrilled to have partnered with Julian in a way that’s authentic to him and our game.”

Immortals of Aveum is set to launch on August 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
