Mobidictum establishes its MENA base in Doha following a successful mixer debut and a deepening relationship with Invest Qatar.
We are expanding our presence in the Middle East by establishing a new company in Qatar, marking the first structural step in our regional growth strategy.
As a games industry network connecting Türkiye, Europe, MENA, and Asia, we see this expansion as an important step in strengthening our presence across these markets. With the new company, Doha will serve as our base for our activities and growth across the MENA games market.
The expansion builds on a relationship that began at Gamescom 2025, where Mobidictum founder Batuhan Avucan met Mohammed Al-Mulla, Manager of Investment Development at Invest Qatar, the country’s investment promotion agency. A shared vision for the development of Qatar’s games industry laid the foundation for the partnership now taking shape.
Earlier this year, during Web Summit Qatar, Mobidictum brought its established mixer series to the Middle East for the first time. The Doha edition welcomed a curated group of around 100 industry professionals, including senior executives from FunPlus, Steel Media, Digital Dunes, SekGames and representatives of Invest Qatar, confirming demand for dedicated games industry networking in the Gulf.
Batuhan Avucan, Founder of Mobidictum, said:
“Qatar has a different vision for its games industry compared to its neighbors. I believe over time many studios will consider relocating here and opening companies. Establishing our own company in Qatar is a commitment to building that infrastructure in the region for the long term.”

The bridge between the Turkish and Qatari ecosystems is already producing results. Istanbul-based studio SekGames secured pre-seed investment through the Startup Qatar Investment Program of Qatar Development Bank, an early signal of the growing investment corridor between the two markets.
To further deepen the partnership, Invest Qatar and Mobidictum will host a private dinner for games industry leaders during Gamescom in Cologne on August 27, 2026, bringing together executives, investors, and studios from the region and beyond.
