Amsterdam-based video game and gamer data provider Newzoo shared insights on the most popular PC games based on monthly active users (MAU) in January 2023.

Online game platform Roblox is once again the most popular game in the new year. Roblox is also performing very well on mobile even though its full-year financial results showed almost a $1 billion net loss.
The best-selling video game of all time, Minecraft, is still going strong and managed to climb up to second spot on the list, two up from last month. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II was the top dog in November as the game grossed over $1 billion in ten days, but it lost its throne in December and now is resting at third place.
The list below includes every market with the exclusion of China.
Activision Blizzard remained as the top publisher with four games in the top 20 PC games, followed by Electronic Arts with three games.
