New crisis on the War Thunder forums: F-117 documents leaked

Home to more than 2,000 combat vehicles and instantly hosting more than 100,000 players at any given time, the War Thunder deals with unique problems…

You might not have expected War Thunder to be so successful when it launched. You’ll recall that there was a time when World of Tanks was extremely popular, and it seemed that it would never be challenged. Not only was War Thunder a good challenger, but by combining land, air, and naval vehicles in the same build, it managed to beat World of Tanks on every front.

As War Thunder continues to grow, it has also managed to keep its core audience engaged. No matter how you look at it, this is good news, but the efforts of some crazy enlisted soldiers among the players to ‘contribute to the game’ seem destined to give Gaijin a headache.

One of active duty soldiers’ first significant leaks of information about War Thunder was about the nature of the Challenger 2 tanks’ top-secret Chobham armor. Although he intended to ‘make the game more realistic,’ sharing that kind of military information forced War Thunder moderators to delete the add-on documents.

This was followed by the leak of documents on the DTC10-125, the main weapon of China’s main battle tanks.

F-117 Nighthawk

In recent months, someone who wanted to add the Eurofighter Typhoon to War Thunder leaked classified information about the aircraft that should not be seen by anyone other than NATO personnel. Now, even though it is no longer in active service, the F-117 Nighthawk, the world’s first radar-evading operational fighter jet, has had its non-shareable specifications leaked on the forum.

Although not classified, the information labeled ‘not for sharing’ includes the location of the sensors on the aircraft, the angles of attack, engine specifications, and more.

Gaijin must be pretty bored with this situation because, this time, he blew up the entire thread instead of the documents. Let’s see what’s next.
