Pocket Gamer‘s Top 50 Mobile Game Makers 2023 list has been officially revealed. The lineup showcases exceptional game developers and publishers worldwide, picked by the platform’s experts. Among the top achievers in the 2023 list are renowned studios miHoYo, Tencent, Netease, Supercell, and Activision Blizzard, claiming the top five spots. The list also features other notable global gaming studios, including Lilith Games, FunPlus, Rovio, Square Enix, Playtika, Roblox, and Electronic Arts.

Pocket Gamer’s industry experts at PocketGamer.biz curated the list for the 13th consecutive year. The nomination process was inclusive, allowing the public and the industry to submit their recommendations and supporting materials for consideration.
The mobile games industry continued its innovation trend this year, with notable releases like Marvel SNAP and Honkai: Star Rail and significant developments such as Sega’s acquisition plans for Rovio Entertainment and Netflix’s expansion into mobile games subscription services.
