Rocksteady founders quietly launched a new studio

Rocksteady Studios Co-Founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker have reportedly ventured into a new chapter in their gaming careers by establishing a new studio based in East London, Hundred Star Games. 

The information surfaced through online listings, specifically on a business intelligence website. Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, known for founding Rocksteady Studios in 2004, have played instrumental roles in developing various successful gaming titles, including the renowned Batman: Arkham series. The veterans departed Rocksteady in 2022 and the new venture is named Hundred Star Games Limited.

The studio, incorporated in February 2023, is based in East London. According to available data, Hill and Walker are directors and business executives at Hundred Star Games. The company has been featured on the Great Place to Work website, providing a glimpse into its structure and goals. As of December 2023, the studio has a team of 25 employees, with plans to expand to 100 game industry developers. As stated in its overview, the company’s mission is to create “cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate players worldwide.”

Despite offering limited information, the studio also has a LinkedIn account and an official website. While no official announcements have been made regarding the projects in the pipeline for Hundred Star Games, the emergence of the studio is noteworthy, given the legacy of Hill and Walker in developing the Batman: Arkham games.
