Rotatelab raises seed round co-led by Laton Ventures and Arcadia Gaming Partners

Rotatelab, the mobile gaming studio behind Cube Land, has raised a seed funding round. The funding round was co-led by Laton Ventures and Arcadia Gaming Partners, with participation from angel investor Mert Gür.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.

Just four months after launch, Cube Land, Rotatelab’s flagship title, has surpassed 2 million installs and broken into the Top 50 of the US App Store Top Free Games chart and Top 80 of the US App Store Top Grossing chart, underscoring the game’s strong traction.

Behind Cube Land’s rapid rise, there are years of resilience, perseverance and relentless execution. Founded by Abdurrahman Koçak and Salih Koçak, along with angel investor and co-founder Yunus Becit, the founding team has been building games together since 2016.

Long before breaking into the global charts with Cube Land, they spent years developing, launching, and refining mobile games under a different studio, learning from every release and continuously sharpening their craft. Over the years, the team’s previous titles generated more than 17 million lifetime installs, with one game reaching #1 in the U.S. App Store Free Games chart before.

In 2020, the team established Rotatelab to pursue a bigger vision, building on years of experience, hard-earned lessons, and a proven track record. In 2024, the studio made a strategic shift from working with publishers to fully self-publishing its titles, taking complete ownership of its IP, data, and player relationships. Its first self-published title, Sort Land, scaled past 2.5M downloads entirely in-house, proving the team could not only build hit games, but also market and operate them independently.

Cube Land is the culmination of nearly a decade of building, iterating, and learning. The company’s breakout hit is another example of repeating success driven by years of persistence, continuous improvement, and an unwavering commitment to creating products that resonate with players worldwide.

One of the company’s defining strengths has been its unconventional approach to building talent and team. Rather than competing for the same pool of developers in Istanbul and Ankara, Rotatelab has assembled a team of 21 people spanning 15 cities, tapping into an exceptional network of game development talent.

This approach has allowed the studio to build a highly capable team while fostering a culture centered on ownership, execution, and long-term commitment. Headquartered in Gaziantep University Technopark in southeast Türkiye, Rotatelab has demonstrated that a world-class gaming studio can successfully scale with a remote-first organization if the systems and culture are built accordingly. The company’s success shows that Türkiye’s next generation of global gaming champions can be built not only in Istanbul, but by bringing together exceptional talent from across the country.

AI is not a feature at Rotatelab, it is the operating system of the studio. The team has built a proprietary, end-to-end AI infrastructure that spans the entire game development lifecycle: AI-powered market analysis and prototyping tools that generate playable concepts and enable 3x faster iteration; custom in-house agents and locally deployed AI systems that automate production workflows; and a marketing automation layer that handles creative generation, testing, and user acquisition optimization at scale.

Abdurrahman Koçak and Salih Koçak, the Co-Founders of Rotatelab, said:

We’ve spent nearly a decade building games together, learning from every launch, every setback, and every success. Cube Land is the result of years of perseverance, resilience, and relentless execution. We’re proud of the team we’ve built – an organization spanning 15 cities that proves world-class game studios don’t have to be built in a single city. With the support of Arcadia and Laton, we’re just getting started. Our ambition is to build one of the world’s leading mobile gaming companies and Türkiye’s next gaming unicorn.

Görkem Türk, Founding Partner at Laton Ventures, said:

We’ve always believed that extraordinary game companies are built by exceptional founders who keep shipping, learning, and improving over many years. What impressed us most about Rotatelab wasn’t just the recent success of its hit game Cube Land, but the resilience and repeating success track record of the team. Rotatelab is the proof of why we believe Türkiye is a global mobile gaming hub – not just because of Istanbul, but because exceptional talent can be found across every corner of the country. Their creativity, execution, ambition, and ability to build an exceptional distributed team make them a unique and unparalleled team we loved to back.”

Akın Babayiğit, Managing Director at Arcadia Gaming Partners. said:

“They are awesome. Abdurrahman and Salih break all the rules they tell you about how game development should work. They are not in a shiny city, they work remote, they don’t follow the herd, and that’s precisely the point. They are true entrepreneurs, and are incredible. Cube Land is the next big thing and this isn’t the only trick up their sleeve. I don’t think the world knows what’s cooking in that kitchen

Following the new funding round, Rotatelab plans to further increase its scaling efforts, product development, and aims to become the next unicorn of Türkiye.

Abdurrahman Koçak will share the real story of building Rotatelab, the product calls, the iterations, and the mistakes that taught them the most at Mobidictum Conference 2026 this year.
