Bossa Studios’ Ian Maclure tweeted (and later made his account protected) that many studios were unhappy about Xbox’s requirement for games to be also launched for Xbox Series S. The tweet was a reply to journalist Jeff Gerstmann who disagreed with “Series S is holding back next-gen games” argument.
The whole “Series S is holding back next-gen games” argument seems really broken to me. Most of these games also come to PC and already have to cover a wide variety of configs. Like go look at the Steam Hardware Survey sometime. Lots of older stuff with significant percentages.

Rocksteady Senior Character Technical Artist Lee Devonald also tweeted and deleted his opinions about Xbox Series S requirements and how it held back the development and developers had to sacrifice for the sake of 60 frames per second.
