There’s probably no need to explain who the heroes in half-shells are, and as their theme song would put it “There’s no way to stop these radical dudes” and their friends. The latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game developed by Tribute Games has sold more than 1 million copies after its release in just one week.

The game actually released back on June 16, however, the great news was shared by the developer on Twitter just recently. The successful beat ’em up allows TMNT fans to play with all four ninja turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo), their master Splinter, and their lifelong friend and reporter April O’Neil. Players can also unlock Casey Jones after completing the story.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge sees pretty much every iconic villain the teenage ninjas faced across the years, but as one can easily guess, the main villain of the story is their nemesis Shredder himself.
The old-school beat ’em up was published by Dotemu. The CEO of the company Cyrille Imbert shared his thoughts on his LinkedIn page:
“This is truly amazing, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge was a million-seller within the first 7 days after launch and is still top of the charts on many platforms after almost a month. Congrats to everyone involved!”
Dotemu’s history of publishing is quite rich. The Paris-based publisher is behind another highly successful beat ’em up Streets of Rage; other known titles include Metal Slug Tactics, Titan Quest, and Windjammers.
