Last week, we shared the nominees of Nordic Game Awards 2020. Today we will share the winners of all the categories! Today was the final day of NG20+ conference but it will come back again between 25-27 November in Malmö, Sweden. A jury of peers selected the winners in the nine categories that had twenty-nine games. Without further due, let’s reveal the winners of this year ceremony.
Game of the year award goes to… Control
That’s right, Remedy Entertainment’s Control got the biggest prize at Nordic Game Awards 2020. Nordic Game of the Year – Small Screen award was Simogo’s Sayonara Wild Hearts which came up first as an Apple Arcade exclusive but found its way to other platforms. Sayonara Wild Hearts also the Best Art award. What the Golf? from Triband won Best Fun for Everyone award while Best Design award went to Baba is You by Hempuli Oy. Remedy’s latest title also got the Best Technology award.

Furthermore, Mutazione from Die Gute Fabrik won Best Audio award beating Sayonara Wild Hearts and Control. Best Debut award went to Deadtoast’s My Friend Pedro. Best VR/XR, the final award of Nordic Game Awards 2020 went to Ghost Giant from Zoink Games. The juries that selected the winners are Gísli Konráðsson, Jarle Hrafn Grindhaug, Jaakko Kemppainen, Albertina Sparrhult, and Victor Breum.
