In a blog post that was published on July 28, Activision Blizzard and Raven Software introduced four new skins for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard, however, one of the skin packs caught more attention than all the others, but not in a positive way.

The skin collection is called “Flood Fury Tracer Pack” and strikes undeniable similarities to Sail Lin’s (the artist who claims Raven Software plagiarized their work) “Samoye Medical” design. The artist shared the image below, alongside the following message:
“I am the original artist that the upcoming COD Vanguard Samoyed skin was plagiarized from. Even though I am also a COD player, I am very disappointed to see my work being plagiarized by a big company like Activision in this way. I have reached out to Activision for an explanation and/or compensation, and hopefully the situation will be settled soon.”
Sail Lin’s design was shared on Art Station about two years ago giving the edge to them considering how Raven’s post is only a few days old. This isn’t the first time their work has been plagiarized, nearly half a year ago, the very same design among the other works of the artist were used without approval by an NFT project.
Both Raven Software and the parent, Activision Blizzard, have since removed any blog or social media posts containing the skin pack. The Loyal Samoyed skin was designed for the Call of Duty operator called Kim Tae Young,
Raven Software is yet to make an announcement about Sail Lin’s claims, but the gaming firm deleting every single image and mention regarding the skin puts the artist in a strong position. The artist wants Activision and Raven to own up to the mistake and compensate accordingly.
