Frostbite Engine, which underpins Electronic Arts‘ flagship games and is regarded as one of the most capable game engines along with Unreal Engine, is being repositioned in line with EA’s new vision and is taking a step towards becoming a more preferable platform for EA’s own game teams.
EA has changed Frostbite’s logo to reflect its new philosophy of partnering with game teams and creators and providing them with more flexible and user-friendly tools and technology. EA’s ultimate goal is to make Frostbite the game engine of preference for EA game teams by addressing their specific needs and enhancing their expertise.
EA believes that Frostbite’s new look also reflects this.

The Frostbite team aims to showcase their new vision of partnership and innovation, and they kept the Frostbite handprint as their symbol but changed its design to reflect their new story. The handprint represents the human touch and creative imprint of everyone who works on Frostbite and its games. The new handprint is whole and unbroken, unlike its predecessors, which show fractures.
Developed by EA DICE, the Frostbite is used by the Battlefield and Need for Speed series, as well as EA FC 24, Madden NFL 24, NHL 24, UFC 5, Dead Space, and PGA Tour teams.
