Australia-based NFT minting and trading platform ImmutableX and GameStop have announced the launch of GameStop NFT Marketplace. The duo aims to provide GameStop customers with Web3 gaming collections and NFT assets.

The collaboration was announced back in February, as the marketplace was planned to come out in 2022. The GameStop marketplace now offers NFTs for Web3 games built on ImmutableX, such as Gods Unchained, Guild of Guardians, and Illuvium.

GameStop and ImmutableX also state that minting and trading will be 100% gas-free and carbon-neutral, allowing these NFTs to be called “green” NFTs. Since NFTs need tremendous amounts of energy to create and transact, they cause some concern about the environment. Green NFTs prevent any such harm as they’re entirely environment-friendly.

President and Co-Founder of ImmutableX, Robbie Ferguson, has shared thoughts about the new partnership:

“Our partnership with GameStop is an important step forward as Immutable brings the next billion players to Web3 gaming. Today’s launch of the GameStop NFT Marketplace means that we can now provide access to millions of additional NFTs, more of the top Web3 games being developed today while maintaining a best-in-class experience for players. We are excited to continue to deepen Immutable’s relationship with GameStop and are looking forward to building the future world of Web3 gaming together.”

This is yet another massive announcement for ImmutableX in recent memory. About two weeks ago, the company partnered with Delysium, DC Comics, and other major Web3 projects. Hunter’s Arena creator Mantisco had also announced the expansion of its game to Web3 with ImmutableX.
