Earlier in August, Logitech’s gaming division Logitech G and Tencent formed a partnership and announced that they’re working on a handheld cloud gaming device. The device’s name —Logitech G CLOUD Gaming Handheld— alongside a couple of pictures and some key details leaked toward the end of the summer. Leaks were immediately addressed by Logitech and the tech firm got them deleted, but once a leak is on the world wide web, it’s never truly gone.

Just a few after the leaks, Logitech G announced the new gaming device officially. Its name is indeed Logitech G CLOUD Gaming Handheld and will arrive at stores (retail and digital) this October. The cloud-powered handheld console is priced at $350, but for the moment, you can pre-order it for $300 via Logitech G’s official website. However, pre-order is only available in the US at the time.
Being a cloud-based handheld gaming device, you’ll always need a solid internet connection as well as a cloud subscription service (sold separately) like Nvidia GeForce Now, Steam Link, or Xbox Game Pass.
Logitech G CLOUD Gaming Handheld Specifications
The handheld gaming device supports massive libraries of games of all kinds and offers up to 1080p resolution alongside 60FPS, however, the performance and visual quality of the games you play will vary depending on numerous circumstances.
Cloud Gaming Handheld comes with a 7-inch full HD touchscreen and offers a 60Hz refresh rate. Logitech G claims the integrated controllers can rival the highest quality controllers out there in the market, but it’s yet to be tested by third-party reviewers. Logitech allows you to customize the touchscreen, stereo audio, controller haptics, gyroscope, and lets you remap controls.
The gaming hardware weighs 463 grams, 206 grams less than Valve’s Steam Deck, and the official product page claims the device offers over 12 hours of battery life.
