Mobidictum Mixer in Barcelona wraps up with record attendance

This year’s edition exceeded expectations. With more than 200 registrations, the event quickly became oversubscribed, prompting Mobidictum to change venues in order to accommodate more members of its growing community.

The Barcelona Mixer was proudly sponsored by Fluent, a New York-based DSP with strong roots in e-commerce that is now expanding its footprint in the gaming industry.

Among the attendees were senior professionals from FunPlus, Scopely, Social Point, Rovio, Apps, Voodoo, TapNation, and Zynga, alongside leading figures from mobile game studios, publishing companies, ad-tech platforms, venture capital firms, and ecosystem enablers.

The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful conversations. The event once again proved that Mobidictum’s mixers are more than networking sessions, they are spaces where real connections are formed.

Mobidictum Founder Batuhan Avucan shared his thoughts on the milestone:

“Barcelona is a major hub in Europe and we are delighted to bring our community together here once again. We are also very positively overwhelmed by the attention we received this year. We will plan even bigger activities in the city going forward.”

Why Barcelona keeps pulling the industry in

Barcelona’s appeal is rooted in a mix of studio density, talent supply, and the wider tech-and-startup scene.

The city has a strong base for mobile game businesses, pointing to its access to the EU market and talent pool, the presence of major players (including KingGameloft, and Scopely), and a broader digital workforce, described as 60,000+ professionals across areas like web, mobile, and design.

Recent expansion announcements underline this momentum. Scopely described Barcelona as a key center for its European operations that brings together the teams behind some of Scopely’s most iconic experiences, including “MONOPOLY GO!”, “Stumble Guys”, “Scrabble GO”, “Yahtzee With Buddies”, and “Star Trek™ Fleet Command”.

Barcelona is also home to Scopely’s global HQ for Playgami, the company’s tech platform, and its in-house creative marketing lab, FLAMED.

Next Stop: Vietnam

With Barcelona successfully concluded, Mobidictum continues its global Mixer series. The next stop is Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
