Mystic Games creates Web3-integrated mobile games with free-to-own NFTs earned through gameplay. Nefta announced a partnership with Mystic Games, where Nefta will act as an adviser to provide support for token minting and wallet creation. Launching a marketplace for the upcoming mobile MMO, where players can trade their NFTs, is also included in the plans.
Mystic Games was founded in 2022 by Matthew Buxton and Jakob Braunisch. With an aim to make blockchain gaming accessible, the company completed a funding round of $1.3 million, led by Shima Capital recently. In Mystic Games’ upcoming mobile MMO game, all NFTs will be free and found by players through gameplay. NFTs will also be tradeable with other players, and retain their value without needing a crypto wallet, further reducing the barrier to entry.
Through its CATALYST platform, Mystic Games will bring players an accessible and free blockchain experience, avoiding the existing pay-to-win model. VoYd Tokens won in the game will be transferable between players and can be spent in-game and staked and sold. The company plans to retain the cross-compatibility by sharing VoYd tokens across future games built on the CATALYST platform. The ecosystem will be managed by the upcoming Mystic DAO, allowing players to own a part of their games, shape future releases, and eventually profit from participation in growing the community.

Nefta will play a critical role in developing the new title, bringing trust and structure to its Web3 elements by managing the Mystic Games token, creating a wallet native to the game, supporting Web3 onboarding, and creating a white-label marketplace.
