Global video game commerce company Xsolla has revealed its strategic acquisition of AcceleratXR, a provider of in-game server backend technology tailored for live service games and software. AcceleratXR’s platform and network engine have been designed to deliver scalability, supporting interactive digital content like an optimized operating system across multiple platforms and devices.

With over 20 specialized systems, including live cloud scripting, AcceleratXR empowers development teams of all sizes and skill levels to create expansive online and multiplayer experiences. The platform is one of the most versatile and feature-rich options for developing games, digital entertainment, and the metaverse, among other applications.

This acquisition signals a significant shift towards offering comprehensive cross-play and cross-pay solutions. It enables players to seamlessly maintain their identity and access their purchase history on various platforms, including PC, web, console, mobile, and VR.

Chris Hewish, CEO of Xsolla, welcomed AcceleratXR into the Xsolla game tech family, stating:
