Former president of Tripledot Studios Akın Babayigit introduces $100M fund for mobile game startups

Akin Babayigit, launches Arcadia Gaming Advisors with a $100M fund to invest in mobile game startups and developers.

According to the Bloomberg report, Akin Babayigit, co-founder of Tripledot Studios, has established Arcadia Gaming Advisors, a London-based investment firm dedicated to supporting mobile game developers. The firm has secured a $100 million fund to invest in emerging mobile gaming companies. ​

Arcadia Gaming Advisors was officially incorporated on December 3, 2024, with its registered office located in Richmond, London. The firm’s establishment is documented in the UK corporate registry, indicating its active status as a limited liability partnership. ​

Babayigit hasn’t officially acknowledged the news, but Spyke Games co-founder and CEO Rina Onur Sirinoglu posted about it earlier on LinkedIn.

Leadership and Strategic Vision

Joining Akın Babayigit in this venture is Orkun Kilic, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Berry Street Capital, who serves as a director at Arcadia Gaming Advisors. This collaboration brings together extensive expertise in both gaming and investment sectors, positioning the firm to effectively identify and nurture promising opportunities within the mobile gaming industry.

Background on Akin Babayigit

Prior to founding Arcadia Gaming Advisors, Babayigit co-founded Tripledot Studios in 2018, a mobile gaming company renowned for its popular casual games, including a widely played Solitaire app.

Under his leadership, Tripledot achieved significant milestones, including a valuation of $1.4 billion in 2022. Before his tenure at Tripledot, Akın Babayigit was with Facebook, leading the company’s Audience Network across EMEA.

Babayigit is part of a close-knit group of Turkish entrepreneurs who have significantly impacted the mobile gaming landscape. He served as an advisor to Peak Games, which was acquired by Zynga Inc. for $1.8 billion in 2020, marking one of the largest transactions in the mobile gaming sector. Additionally, Babayigit has personally invested in Turkish startups such as Bigger Games, Spyke Games, and Dream Games.

Babayigit announced he is stepping down from his role as president of Tripledot in 2024.

Babayigit is also among a tight-knit community of Turkish founders who have played a significant role in shaping the mobile gaming industry in recent years. Spyke Games CEO and Co-Founder Rina Onur Sirinoglu says that people consider him as “The Kingpin” of all of these companies.
