Mobidictum will host a new edition of its Barcelona Mixer on Monday, February 9, bringing game industry professionals together for an evening of networking in one of Europe’s busiest mobile-gaming cities.

Mobidictum Founder Batuhan Avucan said the Barcelona gathering has become a recurring tradition after two previous events in the city—a dinner and a mixer—run with the same goal: connecting the right people and enabling meaningful conversations.

Mobidictum’s Barcelona meetups have previously brought together teams from King, Scopely, Nimble Giant, Tilting Point, and Voodoo. The February 9 edition will follow the same format: tapas, catch-ups, and new introductions.

Why Barcelona keeps pulling the industry in

Barcelona’s appeal is rooted in a mix of studio density, talent supply, and the wider tech-and-startup scene.

The city has a strong base for mobile game businesses, pointing to its access to the EU market and talent pool, the presence of major players (including King, Gameloft, and Scopely), and a broader digital workforce, described as 60,000+ professionals across areas like web, mobile, and design.

Recent expansion announcements underline this momentum. Scopely described Barcelona as a key center for its European operations that brings together the teams behind some of Scopely’s most iconic experiences, including “MONOPOLY GO!”, “Stumble Guys”, “Scrabble GO”, “Yahtzee With Buddies”, and “Star Trek™ Fleet Command”.

Barcelona is also home to Scopely’s global HQ for Playgami, the company’s tech platform, and its in-house creative marketing lab, FLAMED.

What and who to expect on February 9

Mobidictum positions the Barcelona Mixer as a focused, relationship-first evening, with less stage programming and more curated conversations, aimed at people building, publishing, investing in, or supporting games.

Who to expect: Founders, executives, and other decision makers across the mobile games ecosystem.
