Make-A-Wish® International announced that Markus Wilding, founder of Beyond the Wall Consulting and a veteran games industry leader whose career spans companies including 2K, Private Division, Rockstar Games, Activision, and Take-Two Interactive, has joined the Infinite Wishes Games Industry Advisory Committee.
The Infinite Wishes Initiative brings together companies and leaders from across the video games ecosystem to help grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses. As a member of the Advisory Committee, Wilding will help strengthen engagement across global markets and support the initiative’s mission to harness the power of gaming to create meaningful impact.
Having lived and worked in Germany, the UK, and the US, Wilding has held senior PR and communications roles at Activision, Rockstar Games, and 2K. Over the past decade, he worked on the marketing side, including more than seven years building and managing the international marketing and communications team at indie label Private Division.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in the global games industry, Wilding founded Beyond the Wall Consulting, where he advises clients on marketing, communications, business and brand strategy.
“At this stage of my career, I feel a responsibility to give back in a meaningful way. I’ve followed the work of the Make-A-Wish Foundation for many years and have always been deeply impressed by the impact they create for children and families around the world. Becoming an ambassador is an honor, and I’m excited to contribute by leveraging my international network to help amplify their incredible work.”
