Activision Blizzard’s famous name appointed as My.Games Head of Europe

The successful name of Activision Blizzard will continue his career in My.Games.

My.Games has hired Philippe Sauze to lead European projects. Experienced name Sauze will work at the Amsterdam headquarters of My.Games. The company’s mission for Sazue is to expand its presence across the continent. Sauze, who previously served as President of Activision Blizzard in France, also temporarily served as Anna Malmhake’s position too.

Earlier in his career, he spent almost 15 years working at Electronic Arts in various roles, including more than six years as general manager for Southern Europe. Stating that he was excited to join My.Games, Philippe Sauze used the following sentences:


“I am very happy to join My.Games as the Head of Europe and feel hugely motivated by the new challenge. The company has brought me on board with the key strategic objective of developing the European division and strengthening My.Games’ global position. The office in Amsterdam already covers the spectrum of game production — including publishing, localisation and operating games in the region – and it will be a great honour to build, innovate and expand upon this foundation The fact that My.Games is a people-centred operation with mechanisms in place for collaboration and knowledge sharing means that we are well placed to grow, and it is a great fit for me and my professional experience.”

My.Games, originating from Mail.ru, accomplished important work this year. My.Games, which acquired the latest hyper-casual developer Mamboo Games for $2 billion, also invested $3 million  in Tworogue Games, WideView Games, and Vox Studio. In Mail.ru’s annual report, My.Games represented 38% of the company’s total 2020 revenues.

On the My.Games side, the CEO of the company Vasily Maguryan made the following comments about this transfer:

“We believe that Philippe’s leadership, relational, and business development qualities will be paramount to My.Games’ future direction. He has embraced our culture of collaboration between studios, agility, and flexibility and understood our common goals – we are excited to take our next global steps.”
