Istanbul-based mobile gaming giant Rollic, Zynga and Take-Two subsidiary, has acquired Popcore, an independent mobile game developer based in Germany. No financial terms have been revealed as of yet.

Popcore is best known for chart-topping games such as Parking Jam 3D and Pull the Pin!, which were among the most downloaded games in the App Store.

Johannes Heinze, Co-Founder of Popcore, said “This deal will combine our specific brand of ad-driven, free-to-play mobile titles with Rollic’s global marketing expertise and Zynga’s history of live services to build the next generation of mobile games.”
Popcore was founded by brothers Thomas and Johannes Heinze in 2018 and developed innovative, ad-driven, free-to-play games for audiences worldwide that have been downloaded over 500 million times globally across iOS and Android. Berlin-based Popcore team has 150+ members developing, testing, and growing their games.
Rollic recently surpassed 2 billion lifetime downloads worldwide and has had 19 titles reach the #1 or #2 spot in the U.S. Apple App Store. Rollic acquired Turkish mobile game studios ByteTyper, Creasaur Entertainment, Uncosoft, and ZeroSum in 2021 and another German studio NanoTribe earlier this year.
