Selin Esin has joined Play Ventures as an Investment Associate, strengthening the gaming-focused venture capital firm’s presence in Türkiye.
Based in Istanbul, Esin will focus on identifying promising founders and startups while helping strengthen connections between Türkiye’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and global markets. The appointment follows nearly four years at e2vc, where she worked closely with founders and startup teams across the region.
Esin announced her departure from e2vc earlier this year, describing her time at the firm as an opportunity to witness the full lifecycle of a venture capital fund while working alongside entrepreneurs during some of the most critical stages of company building. She noted that the experience reinforced her passion for operating at the intersection of gaming and community building.
Founded by gaming entrepreneurs, Play Ventures is a global venture capital firm investing in game studios, gaming infrastructure companies, and consumer applications. The firm has backed ambitious founders across Europe, Asia, and North America, supporting companies from their earliest stages through global growth.
With Esin joining the team in Istanbul, Play Ventures further strengthens its presence in Türkiye, deepening its connections with the country’s gaming and technology ecosystem and expanding its ability to identify promising founders and companies at an early stage.
Announcing her new role, Esin highlighted the increasing international interest in Türkiye’s entrepreneurial and technical talent, emphasizing the opportunity to represent the ecosystem she grew up in while working with a globally active investment team.
