Supercell cancels Hay Day Pop

Supercell has announced it will end the development of its soft launch title, Hay Day Pop.

In a blog post released today, Supercell stated that the game did not meet the standards they set for them and the players.

“We believe our players deserve to play the very best games. Sadly, despite all of our efforts, we feel that Hay Day Pop does not meet the standards we have set for ourselves and our players.”

Therefore, the servers will shut down completely on February 1, 2021. A final update has launched for players.

Supercell states that players who have spent in-game will be allowed to transfer these purchases to other Supercell games.

Hay Day Pop was released in a limited territories in March of this year.  Supercell’s philosophy of closing games that do not meet its standards has led to the termination of other games over the years. Rush Wars was one of the games cancelled, after three months of beta in November of last year.
