Gemeye announced that it’s teaming up with Tencent Cloud to bring its innovative game-hosting solution to Tencent Cloud’s servers in China. This will open server capacity inside the Chinese firewall in key locations such as Shanghai and Beijing. Also, this means that Gameye will be able to offer it’s game-hosting solutions to developers on every continent. According to the press release, the new partnership will start on 6 May. Besides that, both teams announced that they are hosting the first digital Industry Insights Conference. The conference will talk about the present and the future of global multiplayer gaming. Many experts like Supercell, Splash Damage, Huya, R8 Games, and more will join it.
Gameye’s partnership will make launching a game in China easier
The company’s partnership with Tencent Cloud will “lower the barrier to for video game studios to deploy their titles in China”. Gameye offers game studios the ability to deploy online game sessions closer to their player base, wherever they are. Therefore, when a game is approved for launch, the team behind it can use its services to deploy it everywhere. Full operation will start in China by the second quarter of 2020.
