The last Sunday saw major leaks from both Blizzard’s Diablo 4 and Rockstar’s GTA 6, however, the latter case happened mainly due to carelessness, while in Rockstar’s case a hacker was responsible for pulling over 90 videos of GTA 6 from the company’s employee Slack channel.

The leaked footage was too accurate to be a hoax and Rockstar confirmed that the footage was indeed taken by a person without permission and published online. The game maker shares a message across their social media channels, stating that they’ve suffered a network intrusion and that’s how all the videos have leaked online.
The GTA bosses also said this intrusion won’t cause any disruptions to already existing live service games they have, nor will have any long-term effect on the development of GTA 6 (or any other projects they’re working on).
Rockstar also said they’re very disappointed that key details of GTA 6 got out this way. The video game giant assured the fans that these leaks won’t change the company’s plans in any way and they’re working hard on GTA 6. You can read the full message below.
The hacker said they were open to negotiations and still have unpublished footage that could affect the development of GTA 6, however, it seems like Rockstar doesn’t feel like reaching out to the hacker to strike a deal.
For all there is to know, this person may have key narrative details that can be tracked via gameplay tests and may have gotten their hands on more than just videos and images. Due to several leaks, fans already know that the main protagonists of the story will be a couple unless Rockstar decides to shake things up amid the leaks.
