Not much is undisclosed about Telltale’s acquisition of Flavourworks, including the financial details like the amount; still, it indicates Telltale’s efforts to expand its influence and narrative game offerings.
Flavourworks is renowned for its cinematic games, including titles like Erica, Hush-Crane, and Cuttlefish. Additionally, the company owns TouchVideo, a technology enabling interactive engagement with video content across various platforms.
The acquisition aligns with Telltale’s emphasis on the convergence of film and gaming industries and its commitment to delivering narrative-driven games to diverse audiences and platforms. This strategic move follows Telltale’s relaunch under LCG Entertainment.

“Fans today want to interact with their favorite IPs more deeply, and interactive narratives are a really immersive way to do that. At the same time, people want to access their games from wherever they are, regardless of device or platform. Flavourworks’ technology and interactive video expertise will enable us to efficiently create story-based games and reach more people through streaming and new platforms. We’re excited about what it could mean for our portfolio of games.”
Zack Slatter, CEO of Flavourworks, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “Telltale is the iconic narrative gaming brand.” He also highlighted the potential for the collaboration to leverage Telltale’s creative and publishing resources to elevate Flavourworks’ original IP development.
Both developers are financially supported by HIRO Capital, a gaming-focused venture capital fund headquartered in London and Luxembourg. Following the completion of the acquisition, Zack Slatter will transition to the role of Managing Director in Europe within the Telltale management team.
