Former GameAnalytics CEO, Ioana Hreninciuc, has joined PicFinder, a viral AI image creation startup, as a co-founder. PicFinder has surpassed the milestone of generating 100 million images within just three months, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing generative AI startups. The announcement comes as PicFinder has attracted over 300,000 users since its launch.
Hreninciuc brings her expertise as the former CPO of Homa, a top 10 free-to-play publisher, where she led the product development of Homa Lab. This technology platform facilitated impressive growth performance and enabled the release of multiple number-one app store hits in less than a year. Before her role at Homa, Hreninciuc served as the CEO of GameAnalytics, a widely popular analytics solution for mobile games, boasting a user base of over 100,000 mobile developers and over 2 billion monthly active users (MAU).
PicFinder’s rapid expansion is due to its distinctive capability to generate infinite real-time images. Unlike typical generative AI services that provide users with four images per prompt, PicFinder continuously generates images as users scroll, making the image creation process as efficient and straightforward as image search. Consequently, creators of various skill levels easily adopt the platform.
Presently, gaming companies employ PicFinder for ideation, storyboarding, creative production, and the development of user-generated content-based games, where players create their images and assets within the game.
Additionally, PicFinder has announced its acceptance into Speedrun, a gaming accelerator and startup school organized by leading VC firm Andreessen Horowitz. Speedrun, launched earlier this year, offers access to growth mentorship and capital while bringing together talent from top gaming companies.
Hreninciuc expressed her enthusiasm about PicFinder’s vision for genAI, aiming to simplify the image creation process for publishing managers, producers, marketers, and content creators. She highlighted the platform’s user-friendly experience, eliminating the need for extensive retries or acquiring new tools. Hreninciuc also expressed excitement about PicFinder’s participation in the first Speedrun cohort.
Flaviu Radulescu, the co-founder, and CTO of PicFinder, previously collaborated with Hreninciuc at GameAnalytics. As the Engineering Lead for GameIntel, Radulescu played a crucial role in its development and successful release, attracting over 3,000 developers within a few weeks. The co-founders also have experience building and launching Bigstep, a high-performance cloud vendor catering to clients such as Vodafone, Booking.com, and Rightmove.
Radulescu expressed his excitement about working alongside Hreninciuc to build the fastest and most user-friendly image-generation service for creators. He noted PicFinder’s viral growth without any marketing expenditure and emphasized that the resources and mentorship from Speedrun will further propel the company’s growth trajectory.
