Japanese tech giant Sony has increased the production of PlayStation 5 consoles and the shipment into United States has increased by 400% from last year. Sony had production issues since the release of the console because of global chip shortages.

With the approaching holiday season in the US and the release of PlayStation exclusive God of War: Ragnarök, it was expected that PS5 production would increase.
David Gibson, senior analyst at MST Financial, shared the stats on Twitter. As the graph shows, September has a massive spike in numbers.

Sony announced in the 2021 financial report that it sold 20 million units despite the supply-chain issues during the pandemic. In the first three months of 2022, gaming console sold 2.4 million units, but the gaming revenue took a hit and went down from 63.9 million to 47.1 million year-over-year.
Few months ago Japanese tech giant also announced plans to produce 2 million PSVR2 headsets in six months.
