Ubisoft also revised its Q3 2022-23 net bookings target, now expected at approximately $779 million versus the prior forecast of approximately $892 million. The lower-than-expected performance of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Just Dance 2023 caused the change of the forecast, turning 10% growth into %10 decline.

Yves Guillemot, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said

“We are clearly disappointed by our recent performance. We are facing contrasted market dynamics as the industry continues to shift towards mega-brands and everlasting live games, in the context of worsening economic conditions affecting consumer spending.”

The France-based giant had a fantastic H1 in 2022, going over the forecasted target of €270 million and earning €406 million and Hungry Shark franchise reaching 1 billion downloads.
